I got Smash Bros Brawl. Yes, for you Americuns out there wondering what I'm so fussed about Brawl for, it's cause it's only been released in Europe by NOW. You lucky gits, getting it so much earlier (same goes for those japs out there >:C )

I got it a day EARLY on Thursday cause [link] is so ASSUM when you order games online from them.

IT IS SO FUCKING AWESOME. YOU KNOW HOW AWESOME IT IS? WELL I'M ONLY MAKING A JOURNAL OF IT NOW, CAUSE I'M HAVING A SHORT BREAK FROM IT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN OVER TWO DAYS. THAT'S HOW ASSUM IT IS 8DD.

It took so damn long to get here, and most of the characters got spoiled to me (some way or another down the line), I even became worried when I heard that Brawl plays differently from Melee (Slower, more basic, random tripping, which are all true, however they hardly make any difference) But seeing Sonic the fricken Hedgehog, fighting Link the fricken Hero of Time, in all their awesome glory... Damn I love this game.

My memory card told me that I apparently spent over 1000 hours on Smash Bros Melee. And Brawl seems even bigger. I've just got all the characters (which only took about two days. Much faster this time round) now I'm gonna go search for music and secret stages.

HAFF A NICE DAY YA'LL *Goes back to SSBB*

I can't even describe it all in full detail or else it'll take FOREVER to type/read, but I was severely shocked many times this week. Lemme tell you about it! (forgive me for the huge textwall ;; much happened)


First off, the most significant thing that happened was that someone phished my Windows ID through xboxlive. This meant that someone on my friends list (who must've also got hacked) sent me a message about a website giving out free month subs. I was curious because although I had a whole year sub of xboxlive, I knew others that didn't and were looking to lengthen their membership. It LOOKED all proper and flashy like the official xbox website, but when I "signed in" with my password, I had realised what it was too late. My details were stolen and the account was taken from me. That included my gamertag, (all of my game files and achievements gone), my email account (emails, all those site accounts that use it, lost) unable to sign into msn, and EVEN let the fucker use my bank account for purchasing gamer points. I was quick to stop my debit card's account though.

Anyways, after a very shitty day full of worry, things started completely turning on their head the next morning.


I phoned microsoft the moment the service was back up at 9am. It took 40 minutes, but I got my account back, safe and sound (and I certainly won't be losing it again any time soon). I just got my freshly renewed card too, so it was almost beneficial in ways. I just changed my name back though (Link3Kokiri), and that hacker (called himself "o KrYptiiC o" to try and shake me off the trail of my own damn account) deleted all my friends from the list. To be honest, I had too many random people I didn't even know on that list. But if you're reading this and know that you WERE on my friend's list then don't take it personally if I haven't sent you a request again, I had over 80 contacts and some names I can remember but can't spell , but please feel free to send me a request if you want cause I'll know you.


So. Thinking everything was going to be awesome and happy for the rest of the day, I got a phone call from my university. Turns out I got the job I applied for next year! I'm gonna be a "Residential Admin" in my campus. Meaning that I'm basically gonna help students if they're in trouble or someone needs a bit of telling off to quit being a drunken fag and get to bed at 3 in the morning >:C lmao, but honestly, it was an awesome surprise and with the rewards of it being practically free accommodation for a year and something awesome to put in my CV, I didn't think the day was going to get any better!

But NO.


Merely half an hour later, the phone rung AGAIN.

"Hello?"
"Hello, is this Lee?"
"Yes?"
"Hi, I'm calling to ask if you're going to be able to make it to the competition on Wednesday?"
"uhh... what?"
"... the skillset competition involving all of Northern Ireland's university students? You're entry was the "Hardware Store" animation... wasn't it?"
"...What!?! Wait-... how.... yes, I made that but I don't remember entering any conte-"
"Your tutor entered you in for it. Didn't he tell you about it?"
"ack-... well I didn't know anything about it..."

(At this point I think I'll mention that my tutor DID tell me about some sort of competition that he tried to enter me in but only read the fine print afterwards that first year students couldn't enter cause the quality of work had to be good. Since I couldn't enter I just forgot about the whole thing.)

"Well. It's kind of important that you show up at the BBC building in Belfast on Wednesday, or it'll be pretty embrassing..."
"O-oh?... why?"
"Well actually, you've won the competition"

(At THIS point I think I'll mention that I also heard at the time that the prize for winning was a hefty cash prize)

"...... HOLY CRAP"

Apparently I was supposed to keep it all "VERY CONFIDENTIAL. DON'T TELL ANYONE WE R SRS THIS R SRS BSNS COMPETITION". So I'm only journaling about this now (although I would've typed it up earlier if I wasn't so busy this week ANYWAYS)

Yesterday I was sitting in a huge room where they showed off a couple of documentary and animation projects from mostly graduate students on a huge screen in front of a screening room full of people (Apart from one other guy who was just hanging around for the show, I was the only first year student there. Turned out they didn't care about it after all! And sure enough, my Hardware Store animation has apparently won "Best Interactive / Animated media in Northern Ireland"

I couldn't f*cking BELIEVE IT _(lolnaruto). I got £800 and a sweet glass plaque trophy out of it! AWESOMENESS! !!



Now everything seems so organized and settled. Ready for me to start taking advantage of this summer. I've got a lot of games to plai (I counted 11 games I'm yet to properly even play when ~Xanfel stopped by earlier today to play some xbox360) and I wanna get cracking on some animation that I feel is actually worth being proud of. I'm so glad that it won, but The Hardware Store animation was rushed, basic and simple. Though it's still my first real "complete" piece as of yet.

So there you have it! That was my AWESOME WEEK OF AWESOMENESS! I just had to talk about it, and I hope you all had an awesome week yourselves! How are ya's all doin??

Yes. it's mah birthdai. 19 now (Here's a little question for any of you gaming enthusiasts. Can you think of any video game characters that are also 19? for the past 3 years I've been comparing my age to characters like Link, Dante from DMC3. And I'm not sure what to pick this time. )

I ALSO GOT PHOENIX WRIGHT: TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS (FINALLY) and can't wait to get everything packed away, tidied, cleaned and then starts the best summer ever with ALL THESE GAMEZZZ. With a HYLIAN SHIELD ON MY WALL.

I HAVE CONQUERED ALL ACADEMIC RELATED OBSTACLES. DEFEATED ALL COURSEWORK, EXAMS, AND THAT INTERVIEW FOR BECOMING A RESIDENTIAL ADMIN NEXT YEAR AT MY UNI HAS BEEN DEALT WITH PRECISION.

NOW I AM FACING ROUGHLY 3 AND A HALF MONTHS OF FREEDOM TO DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHI- ER, SPEND MY TIME VERY WISELY AND PRODUCTIVELY.

YES! YES!
